TRANSPORT PLANNER (GUILDFORD)

Our client are growing their team in Guildford and are seeking new team members who are interested in their next career step. This department is actively seeking to extend their collaborative approach, giving you the opportunity to be a key member of the team reflecting this. The Role


The main elements of the role involve creating, commissioning, interrogating and reaching conclusions from, survey and database data to produce demonstrable findings for clear incorporation within technical reports. The position will report to the Associate Director and include engagement with co-professionals, internal and external clients.


Qualifications, skills and experience:


Through your work experience to date you will have undertaken elements of a typical project cycle. This will have involved:


• obtaining and interpreting data, through site visits, survey results and using databases


• growing your knowledge of planning policy and highway design guidance


• writing contributions to the production of technical reports such as Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Delivery & Servicing Plan and Construction Logistic Plans.

• Gaining an understanding of the inputs to a successful project, the significance of each task to the whole, efficiency and standard of outputs required.


Typical tools that you will be familiar with are ArcGIS, AutoCAD and TRICS. These skills and experiences you have gained are underpinned by your degree, Masters or equivalent vocational qualification and your passion for transport planning.


You will enjoy discussing projects, thinking for yourself and suggesting possible solutions whilst being able to follow processes, produce high quality outputs with an eye for detail and thorough approach.


Our client specialises in providing high-level advice to clients on planning, design and construction issues relating to highways, and civil engineering infrastructure. They work within a wide variety of sectors including residential, retail, leisure, commercial, educational and industrial, and provide advice and design services to our clients across the whole project life-cycle.
